Real-life learning
To develop as a leader is often to grow as a person. Leadership can't be reduced to a technique or something that you can be taught in class. A well set up leadership development program can, however, access and develop managerial skills in an individual or a group in ways that can vitalize an organization.
Research and experience shows that the most powerful
learning takes place in near proximity to the work place. We always
strive to place our leadership development initiatives in, or
close to, the leader's real-life work setting. This proximity
is not always a physical one, at times it can be preferable -or
even necessary - with a change of scenery to get some
perspective, and find new ways to relate to people and ideas.
The people that are exposed to your managerial style ( i. e., your
direct-reports, colleagues, and superiors), may also be involved in
the training.
